Questions about booking & your stay

How does the online check-in work?

You will receive a link from us three days before your arrival. You can fill in your details and check in online from the comfort of your own home. Once you have checked in online, you will also receive your guest card and public transport ticket, which you can use on the day of your arrival.

Do I have to check in online?

You can of course also check in at reception on arrival.

What do I benefit from with the guest card (Haslital Tourist Card)?

You benefit from the free use of public transport lines and many attractive discounts on admission to sights, museums and railways.

Where can I store my sports equipment (bike, hiking boots, golf bag, etc.)?

We offer a room for your outdoor equipment and a washing area for your bike. You will also find small, useful helpers here - let us surprise you!

Questions about arrival & departure

What is the best way to get to Meiringen?

You can easily reach Meiringen by train or car. The village is well connected to the Swiss transportation network.

Is there a car park at the hotel?

There is a car park for our guests directly at the hotel. Reservation is not required. The car park costs CHF 5.00 per night.

When can I check in?

The rooms are ready for you from 3.00 pm on the day of arrival.

By when do I have to check out?

By 11.00 am on the day of departure.  You can request a late check-out. The price is CHF 50.00 per room.

Questions about food / drink & restaurants

As a hotel guest, do I have to book a table for dinner?

Yes, hotel guests must also reserve their table for dinner in our à la carte restaurant.

When is the restaurant open?

The à la carte gourmet restaurant serves lunch from 12.00 to 14.00 and dinner from 18.30 to 22.00. We recommend a table reservation. The bistro is open daily from 07.00 to 23.30.

Are dogs allowed in the restaurant?

Pets are not allowed in the Victoria à la carte restaurant. They are welcome in the bistro and on the terrace. Dogs must be kept on a leash throughout the property.

How often can I use the Fitness Wellness Centre as a guest?

As a Hotel Victoria guest, you can visit the Fitness Wellness Centre Meiringen as often as you like free of charge during your stay. Please note the opening hours.

How much does admission to the Fitness Wellness Centre Meiringen cost?

As our hotel guest, admission is free for you.

Is the fitness and wellness facility directly in the hotel?

No, you can reach the fitness and wellness centre in just a 2 minutes' walk. It is about 200 metres from our hotel in Meiringen.

What outdoor activities are there in Meiringen?

In Meiringen you can experience hiking, skiing, climbing and many other outdoor activities and enjoy Alpine highlights in the Haslital and the Bernese Oberland. Or you can visit the Sherlock Holmes Museum and follow in the footsteps of the famous detective.

How far is the Meiringen-Hasliberg cable car station from the hotel?

The Meiringen-Hasliberg cable car station is just 600 metres from the hotel - just a few minutes' walk away, or in winter the ski bus runs directly from the hotel to the cable car (included in the public transport ticket).

Is there a free ski bus from the hotel to the cable car?

Yes, the ski bus is free for holders of a valid ski pass and goes directly from the hotel to the cable car station.
