Hiking & Climbing

Melchior Anderegg, the great-great-grandfather of the Hotel Victoria owner Simon Anderegg, was once known far and wide as the King of the Guides and was an early pioneer of tourism in the region.
A lot has happened since then in the Haslital: more than 350 km of marked trails and countless climbing routes have turned this destination into a paradise for hikers and mountain climbers. But what hasn’t changed is the crystal clear mountain air – it surrounds you from sunrise in the east to sunset in the west, as far as your feet can carry you.

Cycling

Mountain bikers and racing cyclists love the Haslital: high mountain roads, challenging trails and the most beautiful routes of the Tour de Suisse along the alpine passes. For those looking for something a little less demanding, the cable car or postbus will transport your bike to the top.

Golfing

Interlaken Golf Club is only 30 km away from Meiringen (a 20-minute drive), nestled between Lakes Brienz and Thun. Perfectly cultivated greens face the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.
